Over 16,000 KCSE candidates to sit for examinations in Bomet 




The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education ( KCSE) examinations is set to start  tomorrow morning nationwide and Bomet County is fully prepared for the same.

 

Bomet County commissioner Mr Erastus Ekidor says 16, 067 candidates will be sitting for the examinations in all the five Sub Counties.

 

Mr Ekidor disclosed that the candidates will be sitting for the examination in all the registered 257 centres spread across the county’s five constituencies.

 

He pointed out that the Ministry had recruited adequate supervisors and invigilators to supervise the examinations.

 

The commissioner made the remarks in his office while accompanied by the county Director of Education Ms Beatrice Atsyago as they briefed principals on logistics especially on the transportation of materials.

 

The county commissioner at the same time said enough vehicles had been distributed and that four wheeled drive vehicles had been allocated to areas where roads were in deplorable state just in case of heavy rains.

 

The commissioner gave the number of boys sitting for the examination as 8,137 and girls 7,930.
