Bukhungu Stadium to Host Continental Championship Matches

After  co-hosting the CECAFA matches in December last year, Bukhungu Stadium will be the venue for the Confederations Cup.

Kenya’s representative in the tournament, AFC Leopards will have their first preliminary match against Fosa Juniors of Madagascar on Sunday February 11, at 3pm.

The Stadium Manager, Titus  Otiende  told KNA on Tuesday the charges will be Sh.500 for the VIP dais and Sh.200 for the terraces.

Last month, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) officials and representatives of AFC Leopards inspected the facility and gave it a clean bill of health.

The 30,000 capacity facility is also home ground to the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Kakamega Homeboyz which is to take on Sofapaka FC on Saturday February 10.

“The newly promoted to National Super League (NSL) Green Commandos is also going to use the same venue for their home matches,” said Otiende.
