A Dam to be established at Kitale Golf Club
A dam will be established at Kitale Golf Club (KGC) to draw water from dongers that will help in ensuring the golf course remains greener throughout the year.
The KGC Captain, Patrice Tomno said the golf course is now very difficult for golfers due to the dry matter which poses challenges for the players.
“Golfer are facing challenges now in playing due to the dry season that has made the grass in the golf course to dry,” he said.
Tomno said he will take advantage of the dongers available in the golf course to harvest water and channel them to the dam so that it can be used in ensuring the golf course remains greener throughout.
Tomno was speaking during a golf tournament sponsored by Cropnuts laboratory services company limited.
The Managing Director of Crop Nuts, Jeremy Cordingley promised to support the Golf Captain in refurbishing the golf course to ensure it is conducive for players.
He said the company will in its Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) help in improving the fairways and the green matter at the golf course.
“We are going to support the Kitale Golf Captain in improving the golf course,” he said.
He said the move will improve the quality of golf even in very harsh times.
