Lions club free eye clinic

The  Lions club of Mombasa has organized a free eye medical check-up for residents of Kilifi on Saturday at the County general hospital.

The day long exercise is being held in collaboration with doctors from the club, Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and professionals at the county hospital.

Medical officer in charge at the hospital Dr. Anwar  Ali urged residents of the area to take advantage of the free offer and turn up in large numbers.

He said those patients who will require special attention will be taken to Mombasa and be taken back to their homes free of charge should there be need.

Dr. Anwar said the daylong eye camp will depend on the turn out revealing that the exercise could be extended to the next day should the demand be high.

He said all arrangements have been put in place with equipment made readily available to make the day a success.

I am old man aged 80 years. I lost my sight due to unknown reasons. I have no wife nor children to help me. I come from Matungu constituency – Kakamega county. I appeal to well wishers to come to my rescue so as to restore my eye sight.
    Please help.
