Sofapaka FC Beat Chemilil Sugar in a thrilling encounter 

Sofapaka FC beat Chemilil Sugar 4-1 in Narok Stadium to consolidate their second position in the Kenya Premier League last evening.

The first Sofapaka goal came in the first minute through their striker Kasumba Umaru. However, Chemilil sugar equalized 20 min later through a header from Collins Neto and soon after their goal keeper Wahu John received a red card in the 25th minute leaving the team weaker.

Kasumba Umaru scored the second goal in the 32nd minute of the first half while Mike Oduor gave the team the 3rd goal. The 4th and last goal came through a free kick from Lori Rogers.

Sofapaka coach Sam Osimwa applauded his players and said he will work on the defense before they meet Ulinzi FC, their next opponent.

Sofapaka also dubbed ‘Batoto Ba Mungu’ head coach defended his decision to rotate his players during match selection, saying they have a heavy fixture and that he needs all his players to be fit.

Osimwa noted that their role is to maintain their winning ways to pressurize Gor Mahia and to cement their number two position.

Chemilil Coach Abdalla Juma blamed his loss to the red card and promised to do everything he can, to improve his squad a head of their next match on Thursday against Gor Mahia.
